Sr. Principal Scientist, Protein Expression at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

We are looking for a Sr. Principal Scientist to join the Protein Expression Sciences team. The candidate will be responsible for managing a team to support our VelociMab antibody discovery efforts. The team has two main functions one to performs high throughput cloning, expression and screening of potential alternate format therapeutic molecules. The second is to use NGS to support antibody and T cell receptor discovery for VI train efforts. In addition to experience with liquid handling platforms, the successful candidate will have experience with general molecular biology and cell biology techniques.

In This Role, a Typical Day May Include:

• Managing 3 FTE supporting Next Gen Sequencing and HT alternate reformatting worflows.
• Performing high throughput molecular biology techniques including PCR, cloning, DNA isolation and NGS.
• Operating and troubleshooting automated protocols on automated systems from, but not limited to Hamilton Robotics and HighRes Biosolutions.
• Seeking innovative solutions and implements advanced techniques to streamline workflows.
• Confirming data properly recorded in ELN (electronic lab notebook) and LIMS. Make updates to databases to ensure workflows are accurately represented.

To be considered for this role, you must have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell Biology or Molecular Biology with 8-10 years post-doctoral or industry experience. The successful candidate will have experience with molecular biology techniques including DNA purification, construct design, PCR, molecular cloning, and sequencing. Experiences with Next Generation Sequencing technologies and automation.
