Clearance Requirements:
Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a systems engineer for MUOS, youll work as a member of a cross functional team responsible for system level support for a live communication system. We provide warfighters with a familiar cellular phone-like service, allowing forces on the ground to communicate directly with others at higher levels of quality and much greater capacity than available through the current system.

Salary Note

Combined Salary Range
USD $183,277.00 - USD $203,323.00 /Yr.

- Strong cellular telephony background and experience , particularly with experience providing support for these systems
- Experience with ground communication systems for cellular or Satellite Communications
- Success leading the systems support aspect of the life cycle with strong skills working cross-functionally to track and lead troubleshooting and resolution of customer reported issues, report status, and coordinate failure review boards
- Coordinate efforts to restore service
- Collaborative team player with the ability to provide technical leadership and position teams for success
- Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer demands with win-win solutions
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
- Plan, organize, and coordinate incident intake, troubleshooting, resolution, repair of customer reported issues
- Create, manage, lead review of, and complete FRBs (Failure Review Board)
- Lead creation and delivery of emergency system patches and updates
- Generate as needed historical data reports
- Generate weekly status reports
- Review customer documentation and procedures
- Communicate effectively with customers as well as MUOS leadership
- Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the systems development life cycle
- Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and influence management skills, with notable record of securing buy-in on concepts and ideas
