CPH has an opening in Orlando, Florida for the following position:
Sr Process Engineer – Wastewater
As a Sr. Process Engineer – Wastewater, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Lead as a technical specialist in the areas of conventional wastewater treatment.
- Be a subject matter expert on processes such as physical/chemical primary treatment, conventional activated sludge, biological nutrient removal, fixed-film processes, membrane bioreactors (MBR), side-stream treatment, tertiary filtration, and disinfection.
- With your team of engineers, deliver on high-profile projects through applying wastewater treatment and engineering techniques, concepts, and approaches to complex engineering problems for treatment of various wastewater with varying quality.
- Develop and expand our business in Florida, including diverse opportunities within wastewater as part of a team that directs the process design for projects across the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfill requirements as Engineer of Record for the design, permitting, and construction administration of wastewater treatment facility projects.
- Preparation of accurate presentations, process evaluation, design, details, and construction documents.
- Knowledge and/or understanding of Biowin or equivalent treatment process modeling and overall process hydraulics.
- Oversight of project design teams, including engineers, designers, consultants, and clients.
- Coordination and collaboration with firm disciplines, other project engineers or project managers, and business development teams.
- Research, interpretation and ensuring implementation of relevant codes, treatment process requirements, client requirements, standards, and templates.
- Preparation of specifications, review of shop drawings, and construction administration support as Engineer of Record.
- Periodic travel to perform business development and project management tasks. Duty includes preparation or review of subsequent reports and exhibits.
- Oversight and assistance with compiling documents/construction plans from all disciplines and submittal to agencies having jurisdiction.
- Oversight of project quality control implementation.
- Weekly coordination with and reporting to clients and firm leadership regarding project/program performance with respect to quality, status, schedule, and budget.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in design and permitting of wastewater treatment plant projects.
- B.S. Degree (or greater) in civil/environmental/chemical from a recognized, accredited program.
- Fundamentally sound, strong in design and value engineering, analytically strong problem-solving skills, experienced in dealing with regulatory agencies, and strong management, organization, and communication skills.
- Enjoy working with people, be proactive, and be a motivator.
- Driven to deliver quality product, a true understanding of schedule and budget, keeping clients informed, and following up to see a project to completion.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and handle projects from inception to completion.
- Willing to work as a team and have strong organization and communication skills.
