Job DescriptionMomentus is seeking a Senior Product Manager with expertise in Embedded Payments and a SaaS background to guide and drive the product roadmap. This role will oversee the “Momentus Payments” product line which seeks to deliver outsized value to customers around payment processing.
This product line requires a self-motivated leader who wants to execute a strategy to build a new line of business within a large, installed customer base.
Key Payments Responsibilities:
- Manage & enhance the Payments infrastructure/tech stack used to deliver an embedded payment solution, engaging both 3rd party and internal engineering teams.
- Prioritize and execute on international Payment Method Processing roadmaps in non-US markets.
- Oversee Payment Operations inclusive of underwriting customers, fraud/risk mitigation, and transaction protocol on both disputes (chargebacks/returns) and reversed transactions (refunds, voids)
- Align product roadmap around rules and regulations surrounding Payment Processing.
Key Product Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, design, marketing, engineering, sales, and senior leadership to solve customer challenges and achieve business objectives.
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for Payments, aligning with overall business goals.
- Identify opportunities to enhance customer experiences by integrating payments into the software, minimizing manual payment management.
- Automate and streamline operational and accounting processes, ensuring customers can focus on running their businesses.
- Identify opportunities to optimize interchange and processing costs to improve margins and generate savings for customers.
- Increase consumer adoption of electronic payments across various product touchpoints.
- Improve internal processes for boarding, supporting, and maintaining Payments customers.
- Build and execute a scalable roadmap for delivering the above goals across multiple platforms.
- Work closely with leaders across the company to align technology, people, and processes at different service levels, ensuring a strong product-market fit.
- Engage deeply with customers to understand their behaviors and needs, using those insights to guide product direction.
- Clearly articulate the customer problems your product will address, quantify the potential value, and communicate this company-wide.
- Regularly provide updates on milestones, progress, and results, ensuring alignment with the broader company strategy.
- Oversee the prioritization and refinement of changes to ensure a coherent product vision.
- Objectively measure and communicate the impact of key strategic initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience in global embedded payments within a vertically based SaaS company.
- 3+ years of experience in product management
- Experience working with 3rd party Payments infrastructure/tech stack used to deliver an embedded payment solution, including:
- Payment Gateways and PSPs such as Stripe, Adyen, Worldpay, etc.
- Underwriting & Fraud Monitoring solutions
- Payments middleware inclusive of tokenization/wallet & onboarding solutions
- Proven ability to develop go-to-market strategies, including pricing and messaging for payments offerings.
- Strong strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market conditions, competitive landscapes, and industry trends.
- Analytical mindset with a deep understanding of product unit economics.
- Leadership experience, with a passion for growing and supporting a product management team.
- Resourcefulness in problem-solving and a balance between user empathy and analytical rigor.
- Experience in agile product delivery organizations, collaborating closely with design and engineering.
- Skilled at navigating difficult conversations to achieve positive outcomes for all stakeholders.
- A love for managing projects independently.
