Sr. Program Financial Analyst - Kratos Defense

Professional

Finance & Accounting

The Finance & Accounting area is responsible for activities related to either the finance, treasury, financial planning and analysis, financialmanagement, regulatory reporting and tax. Produce timely, accurate, andreliable financial information. Prepares profit and loss, balance sheetaccounts, group consolidations, general ledger journals, accruals, andprepayments. Reconciles accounts. Manages and controls the fixed assetregister and capital expenditure controls.

Financial Planning & Analysis

The Financial Planning & Analysis focus specializes in running and enhancingreporting systems to facilitate the production of information, budgetinganalysis, forecasting analysis, variance analysis, variance commentary,reporting and reviews, and presentation and project preparation.

Detailed Description

Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financialplanning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present andfuture financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizesrecommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended futurerequirements and operating forecasts. Performs economic research and studiesin the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capitalrequirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact ofgovernmental requirements. Employees whose primary responsibility is withinthe accounting function should be matched to accounting roles.

The Financial Planning & Analysis focus specializes in running and enhancingreporting systems to facilitate the production of information, budgetinganalysis, forecasting analysis, variance analysis, variance commentary,reporting and reviews, and presentation and project preparation.

Detailed Description

Manages, prepares, administers, and directs the control of the budget.Manages the activities of the financial analyst staff. Reviews and approvesrecommendations for financial planning and control, providing relevantfiscal information to executive management team. Monitors division anddepartment adherence to approved budget. Selects, develops, and evaluatespersonnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

• BS in Accounting/Finance or Engineering
• 8 years minimum of job related experience
• Experience with Earned Value Management
• Proficient with Deltek COBRA
• Experieince inmanaging, preparing, administering, and directing the control of the budget
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communicator, forecaster and leader

Desired Skills and Experience

• Graduate degree in business, accounting, or finance
• Experience with pricing
