This position serves as a catalyst for change and provide support to multiple UC Health initiatives; works to improve quality, satisfaction, and financial performance of various clinical, administrative, and support functions.

Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Works with project sponsors (champions) to define projects and set the project scope; plans for project resource requirements (time, labor, and/or financial) and works with projects sponsor to ensure adherence to that budget, through the use of appropriate project management tools.
- Ensures completion of team administrative functions across multiple teams in order to promote effective meetings and meet documentation and reporting needs, including multi-media presentations.
- Manages multiple projects through prioritization and delegation, as appropriate , in consultation with supervisor.
Facilitation:
- Identifies needed project participants and facilitates team development, ensuring effective team processes, building consensus, and developing positive relationships.
- Enables teams to reach their desired outcomes in a timely manner.
- Maintains regular communication with project sponsor and stakeholders as appropriate.
- Manages stakeholder relationships. Also, in consultation with supervisor, provides facilitation support for projects not directly assigned.
Quantitative Analysis:
- Identifies project data needs and designs data collection techniques as needed and/or accesses available databases.
- Utilizes appropriate computer software and analytical techniques to process data (e.g., Minitab, Access, and Excel).
- Provides mathematical and/or graphical analysis to establish relationships in data, and reach supportable conclusions based on available data.
- Uses benchmarking processes to identify best practices.
- Develops project metrics that facilitate ongoing evaluation of process and outcomes. Also, in consultation with supervisor, provides analytical support for projects not directly assigned.
Performance Improvement:
- Selects and utilizes quality and process improvement tools and techniques, whether Six Sigma, Lean or other.
- Promotes consistent processes.
- Supports the organization's accreditation processes as needed.
Staff Development:
- Actively participates in staff development activities, educational initiatives, and interdepartmental projects.
- Provides coaching and mentoring to colleagues across the organization as needed.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelors degree in health care or business field.
- Recommended: Masters education in health or business field preferred.
- Recommended: Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and/or other performance improvement or project management certification. (e.g., CQIA, PMP, CPHQ)
- Required: Four or more years as a manager or similar position of responsibility.
- Recommended: Experience in a health care setting preferred. Project leadership in a group or team setting preferred.
