Function: Engineering and Engineering Services Job Summary: This position is accountable for managing the project development and execution of CCS at the Yazoo City Complex within approved schedule and budget. In July 2024, CF Industries announced that it was moving forward with investing approximately $100 million into its Yazoo City Complex to build a CO2 dehydration and compression unit to enable up to 500,000 metric tons of CO2 generated as a byproduct of the ammonia production process and subsequently captured to be transported and stored. Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) is expected to commence in 2028. Job Description: Job Summary: The Senior Project Manager, Yazoo Carbon Capture will manage a team to engineer, procure, construct, and commission the CCS project at CF’s Yazoo City Complex. The Senior Project Manager will lead one direct report Project Engineer and a team of assigned subject matter experts. Key responsibilities: Plan and execute CCS at the Yazoo City Complex, ensuring safety and adherence to project timelines and budgets. Lead team of CF employees to provide oversight to 3rd party engineering, fabrication, and installation contractors. Coordinate with Corporate Engineering Team to ensure project best practices and learnings from previous CCS initiatives are implemented. Provide timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders. Prepare reports, make required disposition, and maintain necessary departmental files. Document work and capture best practices for knowledge sharing and process optimization. Facilitate inspection of fabricated equipment at the vendor’s location relative to pre-determined specifications and monitor said vendors progress to ensure compliance with schedule. Lead or Act as major participant in contract negotiations relative to project work. Identify and evaluate productivity and cost improvement opportunities, collaborating with the CF Operations and Maintenance teams to implement enhancements. Maintain satisfactory communications and relations with contractors and governmental agencies. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering from ABET accredited university required. Mechanical or Chemical degree preferred, but open to Civil, Electrical or Construction Management with applicable experience. Minimum10 years of experience with leading capital project development and execution required. Experience with fixed equipment and rotating equipment. Experience leading projects including compressors, cooling towers, heat exchangers, electrical substations, and pressure vessels is preferred. Demonstrated leading projects from front end loading engineering through executions and startup phasis. Demonstrated leading external engineering consultant companies during front end loading engineering. Demonstrated management/supervisory skills and contract negotiations relative to construction projects. Specific knowledge and experience relative to fertilizer plant operations preferred but not required. CF Industries is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
