Sr. Project Manager or Project Manager, Technical Assistance

Fusco Personnel is actively recruiting for a Sr. Project Manager or Project Manager, Technical Assistance, to join our client in leading the nation in the fight on global climate change and the transition to a clean-energy powered economy. 

This is a FT Direct Hire position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead NYSERDA’s engagement with school bus operators and engineering firms to offer technical assistance and fleet electrification planning services to school bus operators statewide
• Actively manage projects with engineering firms developing individualized fleet electrification plans for school bus fleets
• Provide guidance and oversight to other team members managing school bus fleet electrification plan projects
• Stay apprised of the latest technical and market developments around ESBs to inform NYSERDA’s technical assistance program
• Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with ESB market stakeholders including industry participants, school districts, and electric utilities
• Identify and pursue opportunities for program improvement, including ways NYSERDA can better address equity in transportation
• Ability to perform all managerial and supervisory responsibilities with demonstrated experience fostering respect, diversity, equity and inclusion across the workforce.

Minimum Qualifications

• Senior Project Manager- Minimum experience of Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience 
• Project Manager- Minimum experience of Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience 
• Demonstrated record of success managing projects, preferably in the clean transportation or clean energy space
• Subject matter expertise in transportation electrification, with a preference for a technical understanding of EVs and/or electric utility operations and a passion for issues related to clean transportation and equity
• Demonstrated experience supervising contractors and interacting with senior leadership in one’s own organization and in other organizations
• Demonstrated ability to independently and simultaneously manage a broad portfolio of projects, including setting workplans, managing budgets, and overseeing internal and consultant work products

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with a broad spectrum of both public and private sector stakeholders
• A strong understanding of the technical workings of zero-emission vehicles and charging
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite required; familiarity with Salesforce preferred
• Project Manager- Master’s/ Advanced degree and 6 years of relevant experience
• Project Manager- Master’s/ Advanced degree and 4 years of relevant experience 

Salary

• $76- $141k
