About the Job
The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for managing client projects (initiate, plan, execute and monitor). The Sr. Project Manager develops and maintains the scope, budget, and schedule for these projects. Additionally, the Sr. Project Manager must build strong relationships between the team and client, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure the project satisfies client objectives. The Sr. Project Manager serves a vital role as business liaison between the client and Senior eCIFM Management to ensure tight communication between all stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred)
- Minimum 10 plus years’ experience delivering Integrated Workplace Management Systems ( IWMS) projects
- PMP or other project delivery certification(s) required
- Must have strong Microsoft Project skills
Typical Responsibilities
- Manage project scope and schedule for various size client engagements. This includes planning schedule and resource allocation to meet deliverables, proactively identifying and managing risks and staying within budget.
- Responsible for project status including project performance metrics, product quality and schedule milestones.
- Building and nurturing an effective and collaborative project team.
- Stakeholder and Issue Management e.g. explain difficult concepts and issues to client and anticipate ramifications of project decisions on the project.
- Preparation of Project Management Plans, adapted to fit-for-purpose, including supporting components such as
- Quality Management Plan
- Configuration Management Plan
- Performance Management Plan
- Master Test Strategy and Plan
- Organizational Change Management Plan
- Stakeholder Management Strategy
- Communication Plan
- Training Strategy and Plan
- Prepare/lead the preparation of service support turnover documentation such as:
- Service Transition Plan
- Service Management Plan
- Request, Incident and Change Processes and Standard Operating Procedures
- Support RFP responses and SOW development including preparing estimates
- Take on Program Management responsibilities, when requested, on key or large client engagements:
- Coordinator between multiple client projects organized around business objectives.
- Interact with client stakeholders and senior leaders. Resolve conflicts and build consensus and influence decisions at the senior management levels.
- Manage projects and resources so that stay aligned with the financial objectives of the organization
- Quality Management Planning and Execution
- Dependency and Risk Management
- Program Status Reporting
- Provide PMO and strategic services such as:
- Change Management
- Benefit Realization Management
- Strategic planning and roadmap development
- End-to-End System Lifecycle Planning
- Program Status Reporting and Earned Value management
- Provide advice and resolve problems to get projects completed on schedule and on budget.
- Develop procedures and coordinate IT activities within and across project teams.
- Assess, monitor, track and report on all team projects and escalations.
- Provide periodic reporting and trend analysis for Management review and consideration.
- Take on leadership role responsibilities, within the Professional Services team:
- Act as a mentor to other team members; inspire collaboration and teamwork.
- Spearhead continuous improvement and deployment of the eCIFM Project Management and Implementation methodology
- Develop processes and procedures to streamline project management.
- Quality reviews of project and product artifacts and implementation processes; providing feedback and action planning
- Provide advice and resolve problems to get projects completed on schedule and on budget.
