About the Job
The candidate will be responsible for all functions supporting EB’s Property Control System. In this position, the applicant will manage Special Property assigned to various departments in accordance with contractual requirements such as: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.245-1 Government Property, and EB procedures. This includes, but is not limited to: physical inventory, acquisition, movement, utilization, maintenance, receiving, identification, records, storage, reports and disposition of Special Property. The candidate will be required to work with property custodians, managers, engineering, planning, purchasing, inventory management, suppliers, Government Property Administrators and others to status and process Government Property and to resolve emergent issues.The candidate will conduct internal audits to assure processes are being performed in accordance with contractual requirements.
Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of government or business property administration work experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of analytical techniques, administrative and management methods, budgets, and other administrative areas
- Experience in using Excel and pivot tables to manage data
- Willingness and ability to travel to perform property audits and conduct site visits when required. 50% travel between CT & RI sites. Travel to other site based on business needs.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in management of Government Owned Property
- Basic knowledge of contract types, terms, and legal requirements
- Previous experience in regulatory compliance such as Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Prior military service or experience supporting government or federal contracting environments
- Collaborative and self-motivated with good business judgment
