Provides leadership and expertise on complex test projects to test teams, including: Planning, driving, managing, and coordinating testing activities through all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE:
Provides leadership and expertise on complex test projects to test teams, including: Planning, driving, managing, and coordinating testing activities through all phases of the software development lifecycle.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzes testability of requirements.
- Designs and prepares test strategy & approach, testing metrics and other testing artifacts.
- Develops test plan which includes: design-time requirements and run-time based services in conjunction with SOA based application landscapes.
- Develop and Execute Web Service Tests, including REST Services, JSON, SOAP, WebAPI endpoints, MQ's and Contract-based code.
- Creates test cases based on requirements and conducts reviews with development team/business users.
- Prioritizes and executes functional tests and regression tests.
- Reports defects, raises issues or concerns to project team.
- Monitors common business specific quality measurement frameworks and tracks improvement against predefined metrics.
- Plans and deploys software testing and project management processes based on the current methodologies of the company.
- Creates and monitors quality assurance related activities at both the program and project level.
- Assesses risk to quality based upon results of verification and validation.
- Reports software defects; raises issues/concerns regarding issue prioritization.
- Coordinates activities across multiple teams, including but not limited to development and project management.
- Undergraduate degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS/Engineering/Technology related field or equivalent experience and or training.
- 4+ years of experience in Software Testing/Quality Assurance (SQA).
- Testing tools experience (Microsoft Test Manager, Rally, Client ALM, SQL, Etc.).
- 3 + year of experience with web service testing (SoapUI, Client Service Test, SOAtest) Experience with web service testing (SoapUI, SOAtest).
- Strong software analysis skills.
- Advanced understanding of Quality Management and "best practices” with regard to testing techniques, methodologies, processes, tools, artifacts, and measurement.
- Thorough knowledge of Agile software development.
- Solid understanding of relational databases.
- Advanced abilities with use of reference materials and other resources to complete tasks.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines and prioritize projects in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Airline experience – a plus.
