Sr. HSE Manager - Renewable Energy & Energy Storage
Locations: FULLY REMOTE (Anywhere in the USA)
This an opportunity to join an industry leading renewable energy venture and IPP with strong private equity backing that is focused on the development/execution of dynamic utility-scale energy storage projects. They are at the forefront of the industry, have accumulated over 9GW of projects in a relatively short period of time, and are currently in an accelerated expansion phase.
The Sr. HSE Manager will drive the Health and Safety Programs as part of a holistic operational strategy. This position will partner with the Corporate, EPC, and Asset Management Departmental Leaders to implement a safety based culture that carries from the office to the field.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the planning and execution of safety-related utility-scale renewable energy projects involving BESS technology and corporate programs of advanced complexity. Manage projects and programs across regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and safety support systems
- Provide OSHA safety-focused project support to operational projects within the designated area of responsibility
- Act as a catalyst for change and mentor by offering safety leadership to the organization and subcontractors, promoting continuous improvement in project safety culture
- As a subject matter expert (SME), take the lead in coaching and supervising team members in on all things HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental). Foster collaborative relationships with all stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Safety or equivalent hands-on experience with high voltage ((T-Lines, Transmission-Line, Substations) electrical or renewable energy construction projects
- 6+ Years of safety experience ideally around high voltage electrical construction or large renewable energy power infrastructure projects; experience with energy storage, battery storage, and BESS technologies is a HUGE PLUS
- Proficiency in translating complex technical analyses into simplified explanations for internal management teams and external stakeholders
- OSHA 30 Certification and safety training
- Well versed in Emergency Response planning and Training
- Proficient in guiding teams through complex risk and hazard analysis.
- Leadership of Safety Management Programs involving field construction crews
- Strong knowledge of OSHA Compliance as it relates to utility-scale renewable energy projects involving high voltage systems
- Ability to participate in advance level discussions in the utility-scale renewables, transmission, and battery storage space
- Understanding of national energy markets as they relate to environmental permitting requirements PREFERRED- PJM, ERCOT, SPP, MISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, and CAISO
- Ideal candidate should ideally have held EHS, HSE, HES, or Safety Leadership positions at the Director, Sr. Manager, or Manager level; experience with both field based and corporate policies is important
