Senior Residential & Commercial Installation Technician

Position Summary: The Senior Residential & Commercial Installation Technician at SafeTouch Security will complete installations for video surveillance, access control systems, and virtual security guard applications, and guide other technicians to do the same.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Train, and mentor technicians on industry best practices and how to complete tasks the SafeTouch way.
• Provide guidance and assistance with installations and upgrades.
• Install & configure SafeTouch security devices and automation systems.
• Ensure neatness of cabling installation and compliance with all codes and standards.
• Set the example and help other technicians to accurately complete required paperwork.
• Ensure all safety guidelines are followed.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory for service vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Perform limited travel as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are preferred.
• Strong experience installing electronic security including access control, low voltage, automation, lighting automation, and electrical systems.
• Certification in Control4, Araknis, and Lutron programming is preferred.
• Leads by example and demonstrates mentoring abilities.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid networking skills.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background requirements.
• Valid driver's license and insurance-approved driving record. Maintain less than 3 points on fleet driving policy.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift 50 pounds occasionally.
• Work on a ladder up to 20.
• Work outside as business needs require.
• Perform all other physical tasks associated with the job.

Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt

Hours: Monday through Friday

Compensation details: 25-35 Hourly Wage
