The Sr Compensation Analyst will be responsible for compensation and data analysis as well as the design and ongoing evaluation of the sales and business partner compensation programs. The ideal candidate will be an individual who is results oriented, innovative, builds strong relationships and is eager to drive the compensation function forward. In addition, they will function as a mentor on the team, and display a willingness to coach and develop other team members. They will demonstrate an ability to think outside the box, recommend innovative solutions to complex problems and make decisions that are in the best interest of our people.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a consultant to our sales and business partner divisions to understand how their business works and how sales compensation plans can help drive the business forward
- Build exceptional relationships with leaders and be seen as a trusted advisor
- Oversee the participation in market data surveys, and ensure roles remain competitively priced within the market
- Own the SuccessFactors compensation module
- Support the design and execution of sales compensation plans
- Help create structure and alignment across divisions in compensation design and philosophy, while understanding the nuances of each division and their level of readiness
- Regularly work with leaders to ensure they understand how their compensation plans are performing and align to other divisions
- Actively work to ensure compensation practices are communicated, understood and supported
- Collaborate with leaders to understand compensation concerns and propose creative solutions
- Regularly analyze the effectiveness of sales compensation plan design
- Support the data management of targets, goals and plans
- Embrace the idea of continuous improvement and make recommendations for how we can streamline processes, and further progress our compensation programs
- Be seen as the subject matter expert and mentor on a team. Actively work to help grow and develop others on the team, and show a willingness to work in a team oriented way
- Support efforts behind data accuracy, integrity and attention to detail
- Facilitate trainings regarding compensation philosophies and practices across divisions
Qualifications:
- Advanced analytical skills and knowledge of Excel
- Strong business acumen with the ability to clearly understand financial metrics and how they drive the business and sales compensation process
- Ability to provide large scale analysis, and structure data in an effective and digestible manner
- Strong understanding of HR data and ability to understand how data connects to different systems
- Ability to be flexible, work well with ambiguity and provide out of the box solutions to divisions
- Comfortable working individually and in a team environment, with an ability to bring positivity and enthusiasm to the team
- Detail oriented, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently and have a strong sense or prioritization
- Strong communication skills and ability to work and communicate with various levels of management
- Experience with salary planning, incentive/bonus program design and market pricing
- Strong understanding of various compensation practices and pay compliance
Education and Years of Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant field experience
- Minimum 5 years experience with compensation analysis
- Minimum 2 years experience with sales compensation program design and management
- Minimum 2 years of experience in designing, building and managing complex compensation programs
- Expert level Excel skills including the ability to write complex formulas, manipulate large amounts of data and preferably familiarity with building macros
- Most possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Must be self-directed, creative, organized, detail-oriented and results driven
- Ability to keep confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work well both independently and part of a team
Preferred:
- Prior leadership experience (formal and informal) preferred
- Workday (or other related HCM compensation module) experience preferred
We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $50,700 -- $154,200 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location.
CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
