Expected salary range of $92,700 to $103,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
This Sr Security Training Instructor is for the Crane Clean Energy Center in Middletown, PA (near Harrisburg).
Responsibilities:PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Supports station and personnel performance improvement through the use of training. Develops, schedules, coordinates, and conducts performance-based security training programs in accordance with Constellation department procedures, the site physical security plan, and the applicable federal, state and local regulatory requirement. Focus is weapons training and/or tactical training.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide support for and performance of range activities, including range instruction and weapons testing. Ensure safe firearms practice range operations. Achieve and maintain Chief Range Officer qualifications or equivalent. Force on force lead instructor focus is on limited scope drills, force on force exercises, and other tactical training.
- Assures the training programs are maintained current and incorporate information gained from operating experience, plant procedure changes and revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports.
- Prepares trainee examination and conducts trainee evaluations for classroom, OJT, and firearms practice range environments, as appropriate and conducts counseling sessions for trainees, evaluates the results, and recommends/develops individualized training programs.
- Support station and fleet in the areas of business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, EP duties, and special projects.
- Participates in NRC, NEI, and management audits, and prepares responses to audit findings
- Maintains knowledge of plant security operations, disciplinary skills and techniques, commensurate with the responsibility to develop and conduct effective, high quality training.
- Supervises the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports required to document training program activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma with 10 yrs overall experience which includes 5 yrs armed responder training experience -or- Assoc Degree with 8 Yrs overall experience which includes 3 yrs armed responder trainer experience -or- 8 yrs armed responder trainer experience
- Weapons instructor qualifications (NRA or other nationally recognized agency) NRA (or other nationally recognized agency) Law Enforcement Officer level instructor certification for rifle and handgun
- Effective written and oral communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree
- Previous experience in delivering nuclear security training
- Knowledge of and experience with the systematic approach to training (SAT)
- Experience in tactical and defensive security measures through military or law enforcement experience
- Experience with MS Office products, particularly PowerPoint and Word
