The Software Quality Assurance Team monitors programs/projects in the organization to ensure practices, policies, processes, and regulations are adhered to, reviews current policies, standards, plans, processes, and procedures, and conducts assessments at the program/project level, reporting findings and tracking to closure
The team will provide recommendations for standards, procedures, processes, and guidelines for implementing program/project Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) activities, from project initiation through delivery
Additionally, the Software QA Team will report non-compliance issues, identify opportunities for improvement, track them to closure, and audit processes for maturity, reusability, uniformity, and repeatability.
Essential functions:
50%: Create audit checklists and apply Agile (SAFe, Kanban, Scrum) and waterfall methodologies
Conduct assessments of products/programs/projects (medium to complex) to ensure compliance with published standards, processes, and templates for SAFe, Kanban, Scrum practices
Identify process and procedural issues based on audit findings and initiate resolutions
Communicate with internal audit peers and management about status, audit issues, and deadlines
Conduct training and presentations on process governance and improvement
Collect objective evidence of quality-related data and trends
Monitor and track quality action items and issues to resolution
Participate in audit processes to ensure compliance and uniformity, ensuring that customer deliverables meet quality service level requirements (SLRs).
30%: Develop departmental materials, including SOPs, to maintain process libraries that outline governance, change management, auditing, reporting, and metrics
Conduct reviews, walkthroughs, assessments, and inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of current processes, techniques, systems, and associates for medium to complex projects
Participate in workgroups.
20%: Conduct internal consistency checks, ensuring uniform and fair auditing practices across all lines of business
Prepare QA reports and assist in senior-level presentations
Report and track process change requests.

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
Education Details: Computer Science or a related technical field
Experience: 5 years of experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from initiation to completion, with a focus on process improvements, assessments, audits, and quality controls.
In Lieu of Education:
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required, in addition to the required work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Hands-on experience with Agile, Spiral, and Waterfall methodologies (Advanced)
Functional knowledge of SAFe and product management
Proven experience in creating and delivering training and presentations
Proven experience with the execution and administration of Quality/Process Improvement best practices (Advanced)
Experience with Program/Project Quality Assurance/Process Improvement Plans (Advanced)
Experience with Quality Gates or Checkpoints as part of the SDLC (Advanced)
Ability to gather information and resolve issues independently (Advanced)
Ability to manage and track progress of small to medium complexity projects (Advanced)
Experience with Quality Assurance, process improvement methodologies in IT project development, custom software solutions, and maintenance environments (Advanced)
