Job Title: Sr. Specialist, Database Developer/AdministratorJob Code: 16351Job Location: Colorado Springs, CO Job Description: As the premier provider of Space Domain Awareness mission solutions for the United States Space Force, L3Harris is seeking a Database Developer/Administrator to provide database development and administration support to the Advanced Tracking and Launch Analysis System (ATLAS), developing required capabilities and delivering those capabilities for integration and testing. Candidates should be team-focused and used to working in an agile team environment. The ideal candidate should have experience as a Database Developer/Administrator and other required skills below, current Agile software practices (Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps), knowledge of the Space Domain Awareness mission, and have a desire to learn new technologies as needed. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO and requires a TS/SCI Security Clearance. Essential Functions: Strong command of SQLAdvanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standardsUnderstanding of relational and dimensional data modelingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSet and maintain database standardsPerformance tuning of database systemsDiagnose and troubleshoot database errorsProvide on-site support and monitoring of classified systemsOn-call support availabilityThorough understanding of software engineering principles and industry best practices, including Agile developmentAbility to work in a team environment to potentially include duties in other technical disciplinesQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.1 to 3 years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related fieldActive Secret clearance but ability to attain a Top Secret/SCI clearance upon hireExperience with full software development lifecycle from requirements elicitation to deploymentPreferred Additional Skills:MCSE/MCSA certifications preferredExperience with Linux and Windows Server environmentsExtensive experience with database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB)Experience maintaining production-level systems a plusExperience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plusDoD 8570 compliant, CompTIA Security+ certification a plusIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $93,500 - $173,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
