Job Details:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Energy industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our financial health and growth. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. They will also work closely with our financial management team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
2. Ensure all financial operations comply with GAAP and GAAS standards.
3. Utilize P2Energy software to streamline our accounting and financial processes.
4. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
5. Analyze financial reports and provide insights to the management team on financial status and risks.
6. Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
7. Conduct regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation.
8. Monitor office expenses and tally and enter cash receipts.
9. Assist in forecasting and budgeting processes.
10. Participate in annual audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Strong understanding and knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
4. Proficiency in P2Energy software and other accounting software.
5. Excellent knowledge of financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. CPA certification is a plus.
