The Sr Strategic Sourcing Buyer plays a crucial role in our organization, responsible for procuring materials, equipment, and services for construction projects. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of the construction industry. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in vendor management within the construction industry.

Key Objectives:
- Optimize procurement processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to construction sites.
- Collaborate with project teams to anticipate and meet procurement needs.
- Implement and maintain procurement policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about market trends and industry best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for construction projects.
- Prepare and issue requests for quotations (RFQs) and requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Evaluate bids and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Create and maintain a database of qualified suppliers and contractors.
- Monitor market conditions and analyze price trends for construction materials.
- Coordinate with project managers to determine material and service requirements.
- Manage the procurement schedule to align with project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Resolve issues related to product quality, delivery delays, or contract disputes.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
- Participate in value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in developing and managing procurement budgets.
- Coordinate logistics and deliveries with suppliers and construction sites.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers and contractors.
- Collaborate with accounting department to process invoices and payments.

Education & Experience required:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and cost savings.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Salary Guidelines: $65,000-$80,000/yr (DOE)
