Job Summary
Structural Engineers will be responsible for structural design and preparation of documentation for amusement rides, tower rides, and related structures. This position will also work from design through the construction phase while completing analysis/design computations.
Responsibilities
- Engineer and design structural projects including roller coasters, tower rides, and related structures
- Identify and solve design and construction challenges
- Complete structural analysis to verify capabilities of structure before fabrication
- Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques for design of steel structures
- Proficiency in RISA 3D, AutoCAD, MathCAD, or related software products
- Prepare engineering calculations and oversee the production of documentation
- Coordinate the structural evaluation process as part of a multidisciplinary group of Engineers, Designers, and Drafters
- Review and stamp drawings and calculations
- Mentor junior engineers
- Remains current on codes and requirements; participates in industry fairs and professional and educational organizations
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field required
- 7+ years of professional experience working in structural engineering
- SE license (CA preferred). Ability to obtain comity SE license in any state.
- Ability to create and manage schedules in MS Project or equivalent planning tool
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally occasionally as required
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload with a high attention to detail
