Responsibilities:- Review company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc. and provide input to keep documentation updated. Create and maintain company-wide product quality standards based on internal and external customer requirements.
- Identify manufacturing-related quality issues, implement quality improvement projects and participate in quality activities. Work with other departments to improve product quality and reduce cost.
- Assist with development and implementation of quality audits. Provide quality engineering insight and guidance on product development, product improvement and process improvement projects.
- Accountable for Quality performance in the assigned product line(s) and/or business unit(s). Monitor, control and improve supplier quality performance related to assigned product line(s) and/or business unit(s).
- Lead team of quality staff (quality, engineers, technicians and inspectors) aligned to product lines within business units to support all quality issues for the assigned line(s).
- Responsible for reporting key process indicators (metrics like Cost of Poor Quality, Corrective Action implementation, inspection turnaround time, etc.) and developing corrective actions as needed.
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing and design engineering teams for substantive improvements.
- Related Field of Study (Bachelor's degree)
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in related discipline
- Experience in people management
- Lean/Six Sigma expertise
- Applicable experience in lieu of a Degree may be considered.
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
