SUMMARY
Under the guidance from the Director of Operations, the Sr. Supply Chain manager will oversee all aspects of our supply chain organization, including tactile procurement, production scheduling, supplier development, supplier quality, materials, inventory control, continuous improvement and logistics. This is a highly visible and key position in the Operations Group. This position will require a strong combination of leadership, functional, strategic, and organizational skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop and drive strategic objectives for supply chain organization that align with Bradley’s growth and profitability objectives
- Develop strong, capable, flexible and effective supply chain for Bradley Company
- Interface with all key areas of business (manufacturing, engineering, quality, product management, compliance, etc.)
- Transition, develop and grow purchasing function into strategic sourcing function
- Balance business goals of on-time delivery, inventory management and cost reduction that meet the organization’s strategic plan
- Develop a robust S&OP process which will facilitate efficient execution of Bradley’s supply chain strategies
- Monitor and drive improvement in vendor performance, supplier quality, etc.
- Implement strategic supply chain initiatives (consignment, VMI, cycle count program, etc.)
- Analyze and plan for long lead time and long transit time for purchased parts and components
- Monitor and audit purchasing and receiving practices to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Research and qualify new vendors
- Lead strategic improvements in the areas of transportation, freight, logistics, etc.
- Prepare company for international growth via global logistics planning/plans
- Lead, manage, coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and members of supply chain team
- Propose and develop integrated system that improve efficiency and accuracy of all aspects of the supply chain.
- Responsible for the management of direct reports, including pay administration, setting goals, prioritizing workload, and measuring the work performed.
- Leverage the One Watts system to continuously improve best practices while supporting the implementation of lean principles across our supply chain
Required Skills / Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent mathematic knowledge and skills
- Ability to determine current market price of goods and materials
- Has working knowledge of lean manufacturing related initiatives
- Excellent cost analysis and procurement procedures knowledge
- Has working knowledge of ERP, relational databases, EDI, KanBan
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, logistics, business or a manufacturing related field. An MBA is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive supply chain management and operational experience with a minimum of 5 years of managing a team
- Experience managing a team of managers or supervisors with a proven track record of driving team performance and achieving business goals.
- Experience with Epicor and Smart Forecast is a plus.
- CPM, CPSM, CPIM, APICS certification and Six Sigma Training and experience is a plus.
- Must be able and willing to travel up to 25% of the time.

- Supply Chain – Must possess and understanding of supply chain management techniques and processes such as (but not limited to) visual production systems, Planning, Purchasing, Forecasting and Logistics.
- Financial – Demonstrated knowledge of financial systems and key drivers within the manufacturing environment.
