Reporting to the Program Manager, the Sr. Systems Engineer provides a wide range of systems engineering support for design, development, production, and in-service activities including system analysis, combat system integration, modeling and simulation, and participation in requirements development and maintenance. This is a contingent position expected to be located in Arlington, VA (Crystal City). The pay range for the position will be provided at the time the position is no longer contingent.
What You'll Do:- Provide systems engineering support for design, development, production, and in-service activities including system analysis, combat system integration, modeling and simulation, and participation in requirements development and maintenance.
- Provide technical inputs in Safety and Electromagnetic Environment Effects (E3) areas including reviewing and analyzing plans, schedules, tests, test results, and data packages.
- Assist in managing digital efforts such as DevSecOps and Agile development-related activities.
- Prepare technical documentation, senior-level briefings, and other reporting requirements.
- Participate in program and technical review meetings.
- Bid and proposal support if requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in engineering or a related technical field is required.
- 10 years of experience providing engineering support to a federal/DoD program office.
- Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Must possess strong time management skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited university in engineering or a related technical field is desired.
