WindWright, a subsidiary of Stratolaunch, accelerates hypersonic development by improving the capacity and capabilities of ground test facilities using digital engineering environments. Our advanced modeling and simulation, synthesized with ground and flight test data, are integrated into authoritative digital models that advance ground test productivity, accuracy, and repeatability improvements across the full customer development campaign. WindWright's digital engineering framework also enables efficient test planning, rapid test data review, and deeper analysis of the test results, leading to reduced customer costs and risks.
To achieve these efforts, WindWright seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer with 10+ years of experience with the design and integration of hypersonic ground test facilities. This position requires the development, organization, and maintenance of stakeholder expectations, technical requirements, derived requirements, capacity & capability objectives, and requirement verification progress. Additional position requirements are an ability to understand complex subsystems and their interactions with other subsystems, a strong ground testing background and mentality, and to ability to combine modeling and simulation with physical modifications. Candidates must have an aerospace development background and relevant experience in ground test facility design, development, and integration.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Requirements development and management
- Lead the development of mission threads, use cases and test plans
- Leading and coordinating Integrated Product Teams.
- Develop Quality Functional Deployment (QFD) assessment
- Conduct Systems Requirements Review
- Conduct Functional Requirements Reviews
- Develop configuration management plans
- Creating and documenting engineering processes
- Building system documentation
- Designing and documenting verification activities
- Tracking progress of verification activities
- Contribute to the integration of complex ground test facility systems
- Regular communications with the Chief Engineer, Program Manager, and subsystem responsible Engineers
- Travel, as needed, to support the department
- Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity and fulfillment of commitments

Required
- Knowledge of system and subsystem requirements development
- Ability to assess technical risk and communicate any residual risk to the program management team
- Ability to work on your own initiative and prioritize tasking to fit within the business goals
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
- Citizenship / ability to hold a US security clearance
Preferred
- Complex ground test facility system development
- Direct experience with subsystem or ground test facility requirements development, test planning and execution
- Experience leading teams for the ground test facility design, development and commisioning
- Experience authoring organizing data reviews
- Experience managing requirements using Jama
- mechanical, electrical, and control system experience
Required computer skills
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Education/experience/certifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from accredited institution and 10-20 years of engineering experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
