Sr Systems Engineer (TS/SCI) - Piper Companies

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support a classified program for National Geospatial Agency in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The team is seeking a self-starter engineer, experienced in standards-based architectures and CONOPS development to assist with the development and integration of MBSE technologies for a library modernization program.

Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance

Location: Rancho Bernardo, CA (hybrid, 2-3x/week)

Responsibilities of the Sr Systems Engineer:  

• Responsible for requirements definition, early timeline architecture design, and CONOPS development for predictive analytics systems
• Collaborate with DoD and Intelligence customers to gather and define requirements
• Lead prototype, testing, and development efforts for analytics systems
• Apply knowledge and understanding of User interface design and development practices
• Proficient in requirements identification, analysis, documentation, and tracking
• Proficient analyzing customer needs, and identifying user stories and technical tasks to achieve various Agile objectives and iterative development schedules
• Ability to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency
• Demonstrated leadership skills (supervisory experience, building teams, mentoring, building customer relationships)

 Qualifications of the Sr Systems Engineer: 

• Active TS/SCI clearance required
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline and 10+ years of prior relevant experience
• Experience supporting high level requirements gathering and documentation, responsible for developing Concept of Operations (CONOPS) 
• Experience with analytics, tracking data, and/or operational data
• Utilize DevSecOps tools and processes (Git, Ansible, Terraform)
• Experience with containerization tools such as Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience supporting cloud based environments (AWS/AZURE)
• Understanding of user interface design and development practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to engage and collaborate with senior level leaders in the DoD and Intelligence community
• Experience with MBSE/ UML SysML tools and concepts; DOORS, MATLAB, Simulink, Magic Draw, Enterprise Architect
• Familiar with standards-based architecture, interfaces and geospatial data

Compensation of the Sr Systems Engineer:  

• Total compensation based on experience level - $180,000 - $210,000+ **based on experience level**
