About the Job
As the Sr Developer of our Analytics, ETL, and Talend Team, you will be responsible for the development and support of data integration solutions, analytics frameworks, and ETL processes using Talend, AWS Glue.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software.
- Perform requirement analysis, interact with various teams to iterate functionality in alignment with customer needs. Present application demo to the project team and customer.
- Create technical design specifications, present technical design to fellow team members.
- Perform maintenance on existing software products and contribute knowledge of business applications. Investigate and resolve bugs and deficiencies in the product codebase.
- Participate in agile ceremonies. Build stories, maintain data on PM tools (e.g JIRA) to streamline the software development process and enhance productivity.
- Provide development estimates for new development initiatives and enhancement requests.
- Triage issues by performing data analysis using SQL queries, application logs. Document root cause analysis (RCA) and presents it to the team.
- Participate in collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams to launch new products, features, and services on time and within budget.
- Designing, developing, and implementing ETL processes using Talend, Python, AWS Glue
- Monitoring, supporting, and troubleshooting production ETL jobs
- Upgrading Talend in production
- Collaborating with offshore development team
- Continuously assess and enhance data integration processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Conducting proof of concepts, stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, driving innovation within the team.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience (3+ years) in hands-on design, development with a focus on Talend, Python, SQL, data modeling, ETL pipelines.
Strong technical proficiency in Talend, Python, AWS Glue and other relevant analytics and ETL tools.
In-depth knowledge of data integration concepts, REST APIs and data modeling.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
A passion for data-driven decision-making and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Nice to have - Knowledge or experience in AWS QuickSight, AWS Athena, AWS Glue
