Position Summary:
The Senior Tax Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing tax compliance and advisory services for a variety of clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
- Conduct thorough tax research and planning to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Provide tax advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather information, present findings, and provide recommendations.
- Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and regulations to ensure compliance and identify new planning opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance the quality of service provided to clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (preferably CCH) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
