Skills & Requirements
Minimum 10 years relevant experience. Proven experience with ITIL best practices for service design, transition and operations. This specialist must be proficient with RPG and LANSA development environments as well as Java and it's interfaces with other Disney Technical Systems. Proficiency in middleware systems and processes is required and familiarization with Disney's Dreams, Lilo, Avail, PMS and Packager is a plus. This resource will specifically be responsible for mapping and documenting specific systems for architectural and troubleshooting purposes as well as act as ad hoc sustainment consultant as required.
Job Description
Responsible for leading an assigned effort by working closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to manage and control the processing of programs and peripheral equipment on distributed computer systems to ensure the highest levels of service and system availability are attained across multiple environments. These solutions must be aligned with business and Technology strategies and comply with the organization's architectural standards. Actively participates in the design and development of multiple technology and development projects. A Sr. Technical Support Specialist is proficient in the use of more than one language or technology platform and has domain knowledge of associated tool sets. Individuals will work with our business partners on full systems life cycle and be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting application hardware and software that is delivered on time and within budget. They will coordinate the efforts of supplier teams when needed to develop or sustain the application environment if needed. A Sr. Technical Support Specialist may also be responsible for leading a technology team. Responsibilities also include making recommendations regarding the infrastructure of the hardware and software environments as well as documenting data architecture design and performance monitoring, product evaluations and buy vs. build recommendations.
