About the Job
In this position, you will be part of our effort to design, build, and maintain manual testing across various platforms. The candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as this position requires frequent meetings, along with the ability to create test plans and manual test cases from scratch, for the rest of the QA team to utilize. You will contribute to our overall testing strategy and improve the testing performed as part of our continuous integration build process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Apply systems analysis and testing techniques and procedures to ensure software or system functional specifications are correctly identified. - Create test-related work products (test cases/scripts, test datasets, test validation and verification results etc.) per testing standards and procedures. - Prepare any required reporting documentation for the respective testing activities. - Ensure adherence to performance standards and best practices during testing Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in related field. - 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required. - Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
Job Responsibilities:
Create test cases based on product owner requirements
Create automation test cases
Maintain records of completed testing
Collaborate with developers to ensure test results are understood
Share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams
Evaluate new test tools, technologies, and processes to improve test coverage, test efficiency, and lower defect rate
Self-driven quick learner with attention to detail and quality
Work with vendors to understand requirements and system changes, obtain data, and report bugs
Provide support on deployments for connectivity and other types of testing
Support may be required outside of regular work hours
Collaborate with developers to ensure test results are understood

Requird Skills:
Bachelor?s Degree; Additional experience would be considered in lieu of degree
Five (5) years of related experience
Experience in agile software development.
Experience in black-box manual testing across multiple platforms and operating systems.
Experience in creating test plans and manual test cases.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desire to expand and improve QA skillset.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of intersystem testing, system testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing, and testing automation
Experience in reviewing and interpreting results of automated test runs.
Experience in validating tracking requirements.

Additional Requirements as per contract/client:
Must Be Eligible to Obtain Government Clearance
Must be a U.S. citizen
Must currently reside in the U.S.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Must not be delinquent or in default on any federal student loans

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.
