Job Description:
· 10+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
· Very strong experience with Routing & Switching
· WAN - Audit & Document Network/DMZ/Collaboration infrastructure Size of Projects, Technology Involved, Size of Integrations greater than 5 years exp. Details of experience in the technology, installed within the infrastructure, Audit & Document Network infrastructure
o Technology: Cisco Routing, ISP & Internet VPN Routing. ACL & Security Management. Voip/SIP Protocols. QOS WAN, TACAS, Accelerators,
· LAN - Deep understanding of Network Collaboration/DMZ /Audit & Documentation of Network Infrastructure. Good understanding of business Technology - Extreme, Cisco, StoneSoft, Client/3 COM, TACAS
· DMZ - Deep understanding of Hosting infrastructure. Audit & Documentation. Understanding of how they run their business Partner up technology with similar contact in Client Technology ~ Extreme, Cisco, StoneSoft, F5 (Global/Local LB, Web Application FW, Access Policy Manager), Juniper, Cisco ASA, VPN, Aruba radius, Aruba Clear Pass, Cisco TACAS, DNS, Proxy,
· VOICE - Audit & Document Voice infrastructure. Deep understanding of our Voice infrastructure Partner up technology with similar contact in Client Technology ~ Microsoft Lync, Avaya, Cisco Call Manager.
· Experience with large-scale global network environments conducting Internet facing e-Commerce -BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Multicast, IPv6, LAN/WAN network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
· Network solutions, standards and protocols WAN Acceleration, Voice/Video over IP, Cloud Services
· TCP/IP and various Internet Protocols DNS, NAT, IPSec, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, SSL, SNMP, NFS, IPv4, IPv6, Digital Certificates, Web Security architecture.
· L2 technologies-VLANs/VLAN tagging, VTP, Spanning Tree, Etherchannel, portchannel, 40Gigabit/10Gigabit switched networks
· L3 technologies-IP Sub-netting, IP routing, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, HSRP, VRF.
· WAN technologies, T1, DSL, DS3, MPLS, VPN, WAN Optimization
· Cisco and F5 required
· Networking communication principles, network standards, and network security practices.
· Network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPSec, VRRP, HSRP, and SNMP.
· IP addressing (IPv4 & IPv6), subnetting, routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, VPN, etc.
· Firewalls, router ACLs, IPSec VPNs, RADIUS, and TACACS.
· Load-balancers
· Network hardware platforms and their specifications
· Troubleshooting stateful packet flows and common network protocol operation
· Network testing equipment
· Writing automation code in Python and Perl
· Excellent written & verbal communication skills and documentation skills
Preferred:
· Strong understandings of Cisco's Network implementation in VMWare environment a plus
· Familiarity with one or more of the following: Azure, Amazon Web Services, Rackspace, Openstack, datacenters, telecom circuits, or any other public or private cloud environment
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering a plus
