Sr. Web Developer - AEC Integration at ESRI

OverviewAEC firms and infrastructure owner/operators increasingly demand seamless integration between GIS data and BIM models to improve all aspects of asset design, construction, and operation. The global demand for housing and the need for roads, energy, and water to support them requires innovative workflows that help owners, engineers, planners, and stakeholders collaborate. Esri is working in partnership with Autodesk and other firms to help our customers design, build, and operate the sustainable infrastructure of the future more rapidly, at lower cost, and in compliance with complex regulatory landscapes.Providing this integration requires innovative software engineering to ensure reliable, secure, seamless, and scalable access to this information in ways that are user- and industry-focused while adapting to evolving global standards for BIM and GIS, such as IFC, 3D Tiles, and Esri i3s.In this role, you will be the crucial resource in the design and implementation of this integration. Help define the future of GIS-AEC integration in collaboration with the product owner, product engineers, and software engineering peers on a multi-disciplinary team.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement:Integration between the ArcGIS geospatial cloud and cloud-based BIM systems such as Autodesk Forge, Autodesk BIM360, and other information systems such as Oracle Primavera and Microsoft SharePointPublic and internal RESTful APIs to integrate the above platformsFramework widgets compatible with ArcGIS Experience BuilderGeoprocessing tools to automate the linking and data migration of BIM data to ArcGISCommunicate with industry developers on best practices for extending ArcGIS to the AEC and BIM industriesDesign real-time and batch data pipelines for synchronizing versioned BIM data with GISRequirements5+ years of software product development experienceDemonstrated experience developing cloud infrastructure, backend services, and data pipelinesExceptional understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript, NodeJS, Bootstrap, React, Angular, and other responsive web frameworks or extensive experience with C++, .NET and/or PythonKnowledge of Agile software engineering processesExcellent problem-solving and debugging skillsDemonstrated experience in software product development using or producing commercial REST APIsSolid understanding of OAuth authentication patterns in a variety of cloud and on-premise environments including SSL-based SSOBachelor's in computer science or computer engineering, or related fieldRecommended QualificationsDemonstrated experience with 2D and 3D computational geometryMastery of scalable full-stack software engineering architectureExperience with Autodesk Forge, ObjectArx, or Revit APIsExperience with ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online web application developmentFamiliarity with a server-side rendering of web components, preferably Next.js/React.jsExperience delivering product features in a consumer or enterprise companyExperience with cloud services such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft AzureExperience implementing unit tests and integration testsMaster's in computer science or computer engineering, or related field#LI-RC2#LI-HybridTotal RewardsEsri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy.
