About the Job
Reporting to the Principal Investigator and the Associate Director of the Andrew W. Mellon Program for Diversity in Conservation, the successful candidate will work as a Research Associate for a program supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. This program is designed to provide access to underrepresented students and post-baccalaureates in the field of conservation of cultural heritage.
This program began with a Mellon supported pilot program in 2017 by developing outreach materials, performing outreach at area colleges and universities, convening an advisory board, generating and evaluating applications for a funded summer workshop, and generating and evaluating applications for funded practica (internships). Arranging internships and mentoring participants toward graduate study is also part of the program, as is disseminating news of the outcomes.
