A drilling company in southwest Houston is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join their team! As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks.
 

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily report on status of banks accounts, A/P and A/R
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Process vendor invoices and track payment status of accounts
• Processing customer invoices in various portals such as Openlnvoice, Open Ticket, Coupa, etc.
• Communicating effectively with team members, other departments, customers, and suppliers
• Providing excellent customer service and following company policies
• Answer vendor inquiries and questions
• Process Federal and State tax payments and reporting: biweekly and quarterly
• Process TWC, 941, W-2 and 1099 forms are completed in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare monthly/weekly standard journal entries and reconcile accounts
• Performing other accounting or administrative duties as needed

 
Requirements:

• The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles.
• Have at least 7 years of accounts receivable/payable experience
• Proficient in QuickBooks Enterprise and has excellent attention to detail.
• College graduate with major in Accounting or equivalent.
• Possess strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
• Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Are a team-oriented and flexible individual
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a great work ethic with excellent attention to detail
• Have Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Can perform well in pressure situations
