Our Accounting & Finance Staffing team is looking to speak with candidates interested in hybrid opportunities in Boston, MA with specifications similar to those below:
Responsibilities:
Prepare month-end general ledger journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
Assist with the monthly close and maintain accurate supporting documentation
Classify, record, budget, and report financial transactions and maintain the general ledger
Monitor monthly and annual budgets to actual variances and monthly reforecast accuracy
Review monthly and quarterly financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP
Deliver monthly reporting package, providing insight to business trends and variance analysis
Participate in year-end internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules and gathering support for requests from auditors
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
2+ years of relevant Accounting experience requiring knowledge of GAAP
Thorough understanding of general ledger, balance sheets, and accrual accounting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
Strong systems skills/ experience with relevant accounting software required
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Initiative to multitask, meet deadlines, and achieve results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of staff
