Our client is a rapidly growing hospitality organization who are looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team. The organization has enjoyed incredible success in the last few years' and are seeking a candidate with a similar accounting background, ideally with public accounting experience to join the team in this newly created role.

Financial Responsibilities :
Collaborate directly with the Accounting Manager to maintain accounting procedures that ensure complete transparency in financial tracking.
Services required are as follows:
- Clearly outline, define and implement accounting procedures and best practices.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Make bank deposits as needed.
- Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Monthly financial reporting (includes Balance Sheet, P&L, Budget to Actual and bank reconciliations; investment reports; includes cash, money market and endowed funds).
- Prepare monthly sales tax returns.
- Annual Budget preparation
- Additional ancillary reporting as needed.
- Manage timely invoicing of membership dues.
- Provide CPA all necessary documentation for proper filing of the 990 and any yearend auditing requirements, when applicable.
- Facilitate proper State Charity filing(s), as needed.
- Confirmation of necessary compliance reporting and file maintenance for client files.
- Annual 1099 management.
- Maintain a master calendar of the financial dates relevant to the organization, and work with the leadership team to establish a schedule to effectively manage the routine approval of expenses for direct bill pay to remain current on all accounts payable.
Administrative Support
- Assist with and support member billings and follow up.
- Manage AR related member inquiries.
- Manage annual dues renewals process (notifications and receipts, both electronic and physical).
- Review of current contracts and licenses, ongoing management of agreements and renewals – when necessary.
