About the Job
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process Account Payable. Work to find ways to help make the process more streamlined and more efficient.
- Perform month end closing tasks to include, preparing and entering journal entries, reviewing variances and analyzing root cause, requesting data from other individuals for use in posting of entries, etc.
- Complete monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts as assigned.
- Work with all other functional area associates to meet their needs for financial data request.
- Experienced with ERP System Implementations and account mapping
- Experience with Financial Consolidation tools.
- Perform analysis of financial data for Controller and VP of Finance, procurement/savings initiatives, and other projects.
- Assist in preparation of financial plans and budgets.
- Assemble spreadsheets, charts, and graphs to illustrate trends.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity for the data sets for which the position is responsible.
- Develop new methods of reviewing data to help drive continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Other duties may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business degree with a concentration in accounting.
- Requires a minimum of two years accounting experience and cost accounting experience is preferred.
- Possess a professional accounting designation or has plans to pursue one.
- Broad knowledge of GAAP accounting, auditing, financial analysis, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Manufacturing background and/or ERP experience preferred but not required.
- Personal computing skills required (including advanced Excel skills and proficiency with all office Microsoft Office software applications).

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information/documents.
- Advanced communication skills, including active listening and ability to facilitate meetings in a cross functional team environment
- Advanced problem solving and organizational skills
- Excellent task management and follow-up skills
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations, where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Must be willing and capable of working extra hours when needed, such as during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
