Future Aviation, Inc., a HEICO Corporation (NYSE: HEI) Repair Group facility, located in Southwest Florida, is the largest independent regional airline component MRO facility in the industry. We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for serving as a team leader in the Accounting department and ensuring the department creates accurate and timely financial records for the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Reconciles key G/L accounts each month including Cash (Bank Reconciliation), A/R, A/P, Accrued A/P, Prepaid Expenses, and all Intercompany Accounts
* Maintains account analysis for Prepaid Expenses, Accrued A/P, and all Intercompany Accounts;
* Prepares monthly Bad Debt Reserve analysis
* Assists the Controller with fixed asset accounting
* Assists the Controller with annual physical inventory
* Prepares monthly WIP Inventory Reserve analysis
* Prepares weekly sales and operational reports
* Reviews and approves daily A/P voucher batches including purchase order vouchers and manual vouchers
* Reviews and prepares monthly state sales/use tax returns
* Quarterly review of FOB purchases and FOB sales; quarterly review of FIFO; quarterly review and summation of A/R credit balance accounts
* Annually reviews vendor master listing; performs annual 1099 preparation
* Assist the Controller with annual budget preparation
* Assists the Controller with monthly journal entry preparation
* Assist the Controller with preparation of monthly operating reports
* Assists the Controller with audits
* Other projects outside of Accounting as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Job Requirements
* Bachelors' degree majoring in accounting
* Minimum of 2-4 years prior accounting experience preferred
* Strong Microsoft Office knowledge
