Senior Accountant - The Fort Miller Group, Inc.
The Fort Miller Group, located in Greenwich, NY, is adding a new position as Senior Accountant to support financial and cost accounting functions. This is an excellent position for an individual with a strong accounting/finance background, an interest in evolving technology and an analytical mind. Responsibilities include the accurate and efficientfinancial reporting as well as financial analysis required to support our subsidiary companies.

Responsibilities of our Senior Accountant:
- Learn and support consolidated AR and AP functions, supporting the various business units and reconciling to the general ledger
- Work with our subsidiary companies to improve efficiencies, using existing or new technologies to solve problems and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Develop an expertise in our ERP software, including our manufacturing processes and job costing
- Develop, implement, and maintain AR/AP information systems and related internal forms, policies, and procedures
- Support in the creation of financial statements as well as ongoing supporting documentation (workpapers, schedules, AR and AP aging documents, etc.)
- Contribute to annual planning process and audit
- Assist in tracking and creating adjusting journal entries monthly
- Analyze processes to find efficiencies
- Identify areas or processes that could benefit from additional control procedures
Qualifications of our Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor of Accounting or Finance.
- Five or more years of accounting experience.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable with technology, specifically proficient in Excel and the Microsoft suite
- Ability to learn new software, including our ERP system (JD Edwards Enterprise One)
