Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: East of Downtown, Houston, TX 77011
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (In-office)
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

Reporting directly to the Controller, you will work independently to manage key accounting functions and become the go-to expert for your areas of responsibility. Key Qualifications:
- Expertise in GAAP: Strong grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- ERP Experience: Proficiency with Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Excel Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- Analytical Abilities: Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years as a Staff Accountant.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) is a huge PLUS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in Accounts Payable is required
- Industry experience preferred: Manufacturing, Industrial, Oil & Gas, or Construction
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the fixed asset database; create monthly fixed asset and depreciation entries.
- Support the accounting team with journal entries, account reconciliations, and accuracy reviews of financial transactions.
- Collaborate with the Controller to review monthly financial statements, identify discrepancies, and provide detailed explanations.
- Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes in partnership with the Controller.
- Assist in preparing for the annual audit.
- Provide support to the CFO and Controller on special projects.
