We are seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team onsite out of the Clackamas location. This is an exempt position. The annual base salary is $55,000 - $65,000 (DOE)

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Staff Accountant will handle month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, reserve updates, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. This role involves providing forecast and cost accounting analysis, supporting process improvement initiatives with tools like Power BI and Salesforce, and serving as a backup for Accounts Receivable and costing functions. You will work with the manufactured products team to ensure compliance with company policies and educate operators on product costing and analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General Accounting functions (Journal Entries and Reconciliations), Financial Reporting, Reserve Analysis, Sarbanes-Oxley, Forecast Analysis, Cost Accounting, and more.
- Prepares and inputs standard month-end journal entries.
- Reconciles and performs analysis on balance sheet accounts.
- Updates data for analysis of Reserves
- Participates in teams/projects as assigned.
- Work directly with the manufactured products team to ensure compliance with company reporting policies and initiatives.
- Direct labor and overhead analysis providing management actionable reports.
- Educate and assist operators on product costing, analysis, and reporting.
- Assist Assistant Controller with process improvement utilizing software tools like Power BI, UiPath, Salesforce, Excel, and other emerging technologies
- Assist the Assistant Controller with creating interwoven automated processes that provide live actionable information for decision-makers
- Backup for AR and Costing
- Ability to document with complete particulars, fully recording facts for future reference and support. Ability to organize and file documents for quick and easy retrieval.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Preferred: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Finance or Accounting
0-1 years of experience in accounting
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to work under the pressure of tight deadlines. Must have strong attention to detail.
- Solid foundation in Excel Functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Xlookup, SumIF, etc)
- Ability to use a 10-key calculator, telephone, and be computer literate. Must be proficient in the use of spreadsheet and word processing software.
