With FCS, you would:
- Utilize the FCS procedures, forms and online research tools.
- Become proficient with firm software including ProSystem fx Engagement
- Continue to work towards advancing technical and working knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, SEC and other relevant professional standards
- Perform analytical reviews of schedules and documents and prepare supporting schedules.
- Become familiar with client accounting and operating procedures and systems of internal control.
- Identify accounting and auditing issues and do research to resolve those issues.
- Participate in the preparation of financial statement reports, SEC filing documents, and other documents supporting client needs.
Personal and Practical Qualifications:
- Excellent professional oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically MS Excel and MS Word.
- Bachelor of science in business administration or MS in accounting or finance with an emphasis in accounting.
- Outstanding academic achievement.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and change roles quickly as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving, research, and analytical skills.
- Leadership skills.
In addition, public accounting experience and knowledge of SEC regulations and the FASB codification are pluses.
