Staff Accountant I - Syntron Material Handling

This individual will be responsible for cross training in AR and AP and assisting with the daily operations of the accounting and finance department. In addition, they will assist in the closing of jobs in Epicor.

• Assist in trouble shooting and closing jobs in Epicor.
- Work with Financial Analyst to maintain and complete jobs in a timely manner
- Work with production to get job data entered correctly

• Assist in regulation of SOX Compliance Guidelines
- Daily monitor Order Entry/Purchase Orders for SOX Compliance
- Work with the Sales Team to resolve any compliance issues

• A/R Backup
- Prepare and apply cash for receivables
- Research old credit issues
- Work with Sales Team and Traffic Teams to streamline the flow of orders

• General Accounting Duties
- Assist with Month-End Journal Entries
- Assist with Month-End Reconciliations
- Assist with Departmental Process Reviews
- Backup for filing monthly, quarterly, and yearly taxes
- Will be required to perform other assignments, tasks, or duties as requested

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred and 3 -5 years of experience or 5 – 10 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in personal computers with advanced Excel skills (data mining techniques, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
• Must be experienced in ERP systems, EIPCOR preferred.
• Must be able to organize and analyze large volumes of data quickly.
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
• Must have ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
