About the Job
Vaco is seeking a Staff Accountant for a client located on the westside of Jacksonville. This role is on-site (5x a week in the office), with a large, local not-for-profit, pays $55k/year, and great benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide insights to senior management for decision-making based on financial data.
Accounting Support:
- Handle day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Fixed Assets accounting support
- Prepaids, disbursements, cash accounting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist external auditors during annual audits.
NetSuite ERP Experience:
- Utilize NetSuite for financial transactions, reporting, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with NetSuite modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience as a Staff Accountant (Reconciliations, Journal Entries, Prepaids, Fixed Assets)
- Preferred experience with NetSuite (3+ years' experience)

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
