Staff Accountant at Staffing Now

Accounting Now has partnered with a growing manufacturing organization in efforts to expand their accounting team in the Lewisville area. This role is a direct hire Accountant opportunity and is 100% onsite. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relatable experience, great attention to detail and have manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect direct labor and product development labor information from MRP system and prepare reports for distribution to relevant management personnel
• Maintain data pertaining to full import supply chain for finished goods and other imported materials, including container costs, fees, handling charges, etc.
• Work with production and engineering personnel to calculate the cost impact of design and specification changes on company products and services, and provide reports to management showing the effect on prices and profitability
• Update item costs as needed in MRP system
• Assist in month-end and year-end close of the General Ledger
• Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts as directed by management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
• 1-3 years' experience in accounting
• Manufacturing Experience Required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access
