Staff Accountant - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Title: Staff Accountant

Position Overview:

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities, including preparing and reviewing financial information for the company and its affiliated entities. You will ensure proper recording of revenue and expenses, manage account reconciliations, participate in budgeting activities, and assist with day-to-day financial operations.

Additionally, you will support audit and compliance efforts, perform research, and implement appropriate accounting methodologies based on US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting contractual and regulatory compliance, and providing timely financial information to senior management for decision-making.

Qualifications:

• A four-year degree in accounting
• At least 2 years of experience in the financial services industry
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and tax regulations
• Ability to work independently, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with accounting software is preferred (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics GP, portfolio accounting systems)
