Position Summary:
Primary Duties are including but not limited to AP/AR, GL Account Analysis, Reporting, and other general accounting activities which occur on daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices are paid accurately and timely.
- Perform the processing of cash receipts and ensure accounts receivable records are accurate as well as maintained throughout the year.
- Monitor and Report Cycle Count Activity/Results to ensure compliance and accurate, ongoing Inventory Levels.
- Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly and quarterly reports regarding sales, margins and inventory.
- Capture and Report Employee/Machine Efficiency for all aspects of the Shop Floor.
- Assist with month and year end closings as needed including maintaining the fixed asset register and preparing journal entries as needed.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly to maintain and assure ledger accuracy.
- Report monthly Departmental Results and meet with Respective Managers monthly to assure accuracy and generate improvement.
- Work on special projects as required.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Thorough knowledge in proper accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to perform basic accounting calculations and analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel with knowledge of basic excel functions & formulas.
- Ability to be highly accurate with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
- Ability to maintain a sense of urgency, handle stressful situations, multitask and ability to prioritize work.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively, professionally and constructively.
- Strong analytical ability.
Education, Certifications, and/or Licenses Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 1-3 years of general accounting experience
