Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, and other related financial activities. To be successful in this role, candidates must have tangible knowledge of NetSuite (required experience) and must be computer savvy and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to triage and prioritize projects and deadlines. Duties and Responsibilities:
- NetSuite Experience Only.
- Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
- Maintains the general ledger; categorize records in the general ledger.
- Create, record, and reconcile daily accounting entries/transactions in the company's registers and journals.
- Tangible knowledge of NetSuite. Minimum of Two Years Required!
- Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
- Reconciles bank accounts and bookkeeping ledgers at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
- Reconciles financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.
- Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
- Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures for both A/P and A/R.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- NetSuite Experience Only.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong teamwork approach and engagement.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks or similar software, and accounting software.
Education and Experience:
- NetSuite Experience is required. Please DO NOT apply if you DO NOT have NetSuite experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, required.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience required.
Pay:
The pay is depending on experience ($70K - $75K) and will be discussed during an in-person interview.
