About the company

• Our client is a privately held Real Estate firm managing and investing in high-net-worth properties throughout the country. Their portfolio consists of mixed use, retail, and industrial properties.
• They are seeking to add a Property Accountant to join their dynamic team; great opportunity to join and enhance your skills through hands on training.
• Currently the role is a hybrid position located in the Hudson Yards area of Midtown, NYC with great office space in a historical building

Key responsibilities of the Property Accountant include:

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations; Record adjusting and accrual entries and monitor cash balances
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP principles
• Staff Accountant will also eventually be responsible for review leases for compliance
• Additional Ad Hoc responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer

What you bring to the table as the Property Accountant...

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience; Real Estate is a plus
• Experience using an accounting system such as Yardi, MRI, Appfolio and others a plus
• Must have the ability to communicate professionally with members of the team at all levels
