We are expanding and seeking a talented Staff Accountant to take charge of key financial operations and help manage a steady workload with precision.

responsibilities:
- Enter and manage accounts payable (AP) transactions.
- Reconcile vendor statements and general ledger (GL) accounts.
- Handle monthly bank reconciliations, maintain and organize financial documents.
- Process payroll entries, journal entries, and manage sales tax and depreciation.
- Prepare accurate accruals, trial balance, and financial reports, including monthly balance sheets, income statements, and P&L statements.
- Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and assist in monthly close procedures.
- Accurately code invoices, open new accounts, and process payments, ensuring appropriate cost allocation.
- File tax documents with various federal, state, and local authorities.
- Stay up-to-date with current accounting standards and best practices.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the department.
qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in construction accounting. (REQUIRED)
- CPA firm experience, especially with client write-up services, (DESIRED)
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel is mandatory.
- Experience with QuickBooks is beneficial but not required.
- This position requires full-time in-office presence.
