Our client, a family-run business with a strong foundation, is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team. This role is essential in managing the financial operations related to inventory, fixed assets, and sales/use tax, ensuring compliance and contributing to the company's financial health. OVERVIEW OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and balances, addressing any variances with corrective actions.
• Staff Accountant will oversee the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate capitalization and depreciation processes.
• Coordinate with departments to manage asset acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns in compliance with state and local regulations.
• Staff Accountant will support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in audit preparation by organizing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Staff Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to aid in budgeting and forecasting efforts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Familiarity with inventory management, fixed assets, and sales/use tax regulations preferred.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience.
